Support your local missionary

February 28, 2011

I’ve always thought that as followers of Jesus, we should bring his love to all corners of the world. If we really, truly believe that Jesus was who he said he was and is who he says he is, then we will be so fully of love that we can’t help but sharing that with everyone on the planet. We begin with our neighbors, and family members, since they are the ones closest to us. However, if we stop there, we’re really missing out. All corners of the world means home country and internationally.

There are thousands of people who have left their home country to go love on people in the name of Jesus. If you haven’t done so in awhile, I encourage you to send a note of encouragement to someone you know who is serving overseas. A short email to remind them of how awesome they are can do wonders. Pray for that person/family while you are writing, and throughout the day. They will know it! If you can, send them an extra five bucks or so, that can help them pay their bills or buy an extra ice cream cone for their kids this week.

Here are a few folks that I’m a fan of, who you may enjoy getting to know.  Feel free to send them some love! Also, if you haven’t checked out my Seek Justice page, there are several great international organizations there that you may be interested in checking out.
