Official Name Release

August 2, 2010

NASHVILLE — In May, we announced that a group of people in Nashville are dedicated to providing direct services to victims of human trafficking. Today, we are no longer “that group of people”. While we cannot claim official 501 (c)(3) status, you can now call us by our name: Underground Justice & Aftercare Movement (UJAM).

The Underground Justice & Aftercare Movement will be composed of a short-term, emergency shelter, a long-term restorative home, and a legal clinic. No small task, but we believe that all things are possible. We are working hard to make UJAM a reality, as we have already seen first-hand the need for specialized care to those who have been enslaved.

We are thankful for those of you who contributed to the name search. Your interest and ideas propelled us further than we knew we needed to go. We are excited to continue moving forward and hope to involve you in the steps along the way.

Should you have any questions, or wish to be involved, please do not hesitate to contact us. We can be reached through the contact tab on this blog.
